About Spectacle

The Spectacle in Sound, hosted by Upper Dublin’s Marching Cardinals, is one of Upper Dublin’s longest-running traditions, drawing marching bands -and their fans - from Eastern PA and New Jersey since the mid-70s.
Our 2024 show on October 19 will feature 14 bands, and will culminate with the UDMC Alumni band consisting of over 100 returning band members. Spectacle is often one of the year’s biggest crowds in one of UD’s biggest venues.

The Importance of Business Sponsorship

Marching Band programs build teamwork, leadership skills, musicianship and demanding physical skills, and UD’s program is rigorous enough that it’s the only non-sport activity in which UD students can letter. But every marching band season is expensive and only partially funded by the school district and students’ annual dues payments. To keep the program vibrant, we also depend on the support of the Upper Dublin community, and are proud to recognize that support at our biggest event of the year.

How to Sponsor:

  1. Choose your Sponsorship Level (read more about our sponsorship levels below and what each offers).

  2. Fill out our Online Form or print and send in our Sponsorship form PDF

  3. Send us your business logl: email
    Best way to submit is electronically, in PDF, PNG, or JPG, format, to spectacle (at) cardinalbands.org
    Or send in a business card or other printed logo with your paper sponsorship form or check.
    Best format is in rectangular 16:9 aspect ratio (same as TV) but we can adjust it as necessary.

Explanation of recognition types:

Trophy Announcement: Each trophy awarded will have an announcement, e.g. “The trophy for rIrst place in the Liberty division is sponsored by <business>.  <Business tag line here if they give it>.”    (10 slots available.)

Mid-show announcement:  Delivered between shows “Spectacle in sound wants to thank our sponsor <business>.  <Tagline if offered.>  30 slots available

Ads in Program:
Top-level program carousel ad: A graphic included in a rotating carousel within and at top of the main online program page, viewed by most audience members. Every audience member viewing the program will see these ads.

Interstitial program ad: A static ad within the web program, in between bands (or if we separate the program into pages-per-band, on an individual band’s info page.)

Program Sponsors-page program ad: The program will have a separate sponsors page listing all sponsors, linked to businesses URL, separated by tiers.  Lowest tier won’t have graphics, just a text (and optional link).

Spectacle Site Carousel ad: On the main page of the Spectacle mini-site, we can offer the same top-level carousel of major sponsors.
